Although I haven’t been in a long time I am a patient of Dr Das’s. I was referred for a sleep study and ended up having to get a machine and after about a year it stopped working properly. I called the office and spoke with the office manager and asked if I could bring it back and was told I had paid it off so it was mine. I haven’t used it since. I called and spoke to the office manager a few months ago because I got a pretty big bill in the mail and was confused since I hadn’t been seen in such a long time. I asked if I could return the machine to get a refund or replacement and she said I didn’t qualify because it was paid off and it hadn’t been long enough for a replacement. I told her I received a statement in the mail and asked why because it was such a high amount and she said it was what my insurance company left me with from my sleep study. My sleep study was years ago! Why am I just now getting a bill? I asked if she could send me an itemized breakdown of the charges and she said yes. It was over $400. I never received it. Somehow it slipped my mind until last month when I received another statement for the same amount so I just went ahead and paid it and thought everything was done. Not even close! Today I got a notification that I still owed money and was confused so I called the office to see what was going on. To my surprise I owed almost TWO GRAND!!! HOW??? How did I just pay hundreds of dollars that I somehow owed from years ago and now I owe almost two grand? Needless to say I was confused, frustrated, angry, and emotional. I spoke with the collections manager Red and bless her heart she apologized so many times and was so patient with me and went through and explained in detail why I still owed money. Apparently my machine hadn’t been paid off when I was told it was paid off like I was told by the office manager. Even though it wasn’t her fault I was in this situation, unfortunately she got the brunt of my frustration but she remained calm and patient and she was very empathetic and understanding. She took the time to explain what others didn’t and showed compassion in a very confusing and aggravating situation. I still don’t understand how this managed to go so long without being brought to my attention and it’s very unprofessional but Red handled the situation very professionally and was very sweet the entire time. I ended up apologizing for taking my frustration out on her because I know it wasn’t her fault and she ended up giving me a discount in the end which was greatly appreciated. Someone give this woman a raise or a paid day off or something because she’s the only one who took the time to explain things to me and her patient/customer service is on point.

At first I’ll admit I was going to switch doctors and go somewhere else and give this place a 1 star rating because the office manager up front Haley, the red head, (as in Ginger red head), is clearly inexperienced when it comes to working in the medical field, working in customer service, and running an office. I’ve had nothing but issues with her every time I go in for an appt and just observing way she handles issues with other patients when I’m there, and I’m not the only one. Everytime I go there, patients are unhappy with her. Then reading the reviews online, clearly the issue is definitely her. She lacks the necessary BASIC knowledge needed to run a medical office because she can never answer basic questions when you ask them and has absolutely NO compassion when it comes to patients. When issues come up and patients are trying to address them with her, she’s very dismissive and then talks sh*t about the patients after they go sit back down whether it’s to other staff members or just making blatant rude comments out loud. She’s extremely unprofessional, immature, inexperienced, and rude and I honestly don’t understand why Dr. Das keeps her around, much less has her as his OFFICE MANAGER. It’s baffling. So after over 8 months of dealing with her and the constant issues, like her always forgetting to take my co pay and contemplating giving up a great doctor just because of his poor choice in office management, a new face showed up in the office and all I could think was PLEASE LET THIS WOMAN BE THE NEW OFFICE MANGER!! She also has redish hair, (not a ginger, more like dark reddish dyed hair type of red hair), and ironically her name is Red. And let me tell you she is a breath of fresh of air!! The absolute sweetest little thing with the squeakiest little voice and cutest laugh I’ve ever heard in my life lol. You can tell she’s more experienced in the medical field, more mature, and holds more compassion and empathy for patients than Haley does. She’s patient and soft spoken but firm when rude patients, ( you’ve all seen those disrespectful ones who think they can yell and cuss at everyone), starts getting loud with her. I’ve never heard her raise her voice, or be disrespectful, or dismissive with any patient. She deescalates the situation as fast and as professionally as possible. Unfortunately she’s not the new office manger, ( Dr. Das may need to really reconsider this decision), she’s the Administrative Coordinator and Collections Manager, I asked for her title lol, which means a lot of patients immediately approach her with hostility because those patients clearly owe money. But even then, I’ve never seen her act unprofessional, rude, or straight up dismiss them. She tries to explain why they owe money, but I mean really? You know why you owe money. And from what I’ve heard every time I’ve been there and listened, these patients owed money because they were allowed to keep coming even though they owed money, they weren’t paying their copays and balances, and even though I’m pretty sure they knew they had balances, they said they were never told they had balances or were allowed to be billed their copays every time. I’ve never been alllowed to do this at any other office so that should tell you something about their office manager. The stories were all the same. So that tells me the person up front AKA the office manager, wasn’t doing her job properly. But this new one, Red, she doesn’t let NOONE pass without paying their dues. AS SHE SHOULD. Sounds to me like she’s doing HER job AND the OFFICE MANGER’S job and she’s doing great from what I can see. She laughs with patients, she jokes with patients, and I witnessed one of the patients who was very rude to her because he owed money and demanded to speak with Dr Das at first, become very very friendly with her and ended up laughing and cutting up with her by the time she was done with him. So if that doesn’t say something about her professionalism and patient experience, then I don’t know what does. And THAT is what changed my mind and made me decide to stay here because I’m hoping that one day, preferably sooner rather than later, Dr. Das will come to his senses and when I walk in for my appt, Ms Red will have a new title along with Collections Manager because that place has really turned around a lot. Dr Das I really hope you’re reading this and taking notes because you definitely found a gem there and she’s what a true office manager is. I was going to leave but since she’s been there running that office, things have been very pleasant and smooth sailing. She’s a keeper!!

Dr. Das was so nice! He took a lot of time with my husband and me. He took time to show us his sleep study area, gave us options and discussed any questions at length. I really liked him.
